Season opening BBQ and net session

On Thursday 13th April, get yourself down to the club for our season opening BBQ bash!

As is tradition, the first outdoor net session of the season is a cold one, so what better way to warm up than by enjoying a burger or two as we welcome in the new season?

This signals the start of the 2017 season for the club and provides a great opportunity for everyone to catch up and welcome new members to the club.

Look forward to seeing you there!

2017 BBQ Rota

It's not just the cricket season that's fast approaching - BBQ season is not far off at all!

In preparation for this, BBQ enthusiast Jon Mapp has ensured that we won't go hungry throughout the season.

Click here for BBQ dates throughout the season.

HELP is also needed every Tuesday evening at the club throughout the season to run the BBQ. Half an hour of your time is all we ask to help Pat, Pete and Lance with the rush.

Ruts return for Collett

We're delighted to announce that Tom Collett will be rejoining us for the 2017 season.

After spearheading our attack in 2016, picking up 26 scalps along the way, Tom's decided to return to Poplar Road to aid the 1st XI's promotion bid.

Tom's consistently quick, aggressive and hostile spells of bowling were a highlight for spectators and teammates alike throughout the 2016 season and we're delighted he'll be returning to Merton Park on April 15th.

Tom will continue to work closely with the colts section throughout the season and our youngsters will undoubtedly be delighted to have his expertise to call upon.

Tom arrives on Saturday 15th April, so if you're in the area it would be great to see you at the club to welcome him back.

You never know, the chairman might even get his name right this time around!

Indoor winter training 2017

Winter nets sessions begin on Wednesday 22nd February 2017 and will run through to Wednesday 12th April 2017.

Sessions will be held at Rutlish School in the sports hall and will run from 7-8:30pm.

The sessions will consist of fitness and skill-based fielding drills as well as net practice.

The price of the sessions are £40 for all 8 sessions or £7 per session you attend.

New players always welcome.
